I want to share about what is it like playing music for God.
I guess most of us would know the politically correct answer.
It's about communicating with God through music...
or...
It's about building God an alter so that the atmosphere is right...
These answers are correct, nothing wrong.

But it's deeper than that.
We need to feel the song's melody and lyrics.
It's like talking with your instrument.

You need yo know the song that you are playing
is it happy?
Sad?
Lively?
Anger?
Have fun?

Are people able to tell whether you are angry, happy, or sad
just by listening to you play?

It's also about concentration...
Not on what you are suppose to play
BUT
How you play it
Have you wondered why performers have a certain dramatic look
when performing?

Playing music is technical.
Performing music is emotional.

EMO is you'd like to call it...

So steps on how to perform music well:

1. Pray for anointing
2. Practice, practice, practice
3. Understand what you are playing
4. Insert your emotions
5. Deliver your emotions

It's one thing to know what to play
It's another to know how to play
